MARR is a not-for-profit stewardship agency created to implement and operate a stewardship plan for end-of-life major household appliances in BC. The British Columbia Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy has approved MARR's stewardship plan.

Large appliances contain recoverable metals and getting them back into the supply chain reduces the need for new raw materials. Also, many large appliances contain refrigerants: a group of chemicals that collectively are called ozone-depleting substances. By responsibly recycling your large appliances, you ensure that any ozone-depleting substances will be handled and disposed of carefully by licensed professionals.
There are certified drop-off sites that accept major appliances all across BC. There is no charge when you drop off your appliance at a MARR collection site and you can rest assured knowing your large appliances will be recycled responsibly.
